Julie Painter

Julie is a highly experienced and qualified HR Consultant employed as part of the A-Team at Auxilium HR Solutions Ltd.

Julie, as an HR generalist for over 30 years’ is an experienced senior manager, adviser and team player. Working with Chief Executives and Boards, she has led HR in not for profit organisations and more recently, a charity.  She has a firm but fair approach to employee relations and supportive but persuasive when working with managers and enjoys all aspects of HR and has experience in the following areas:

• Writing policies and procedures in line with current employment law and best practice,

• Leading HR projects,

• Complex casework including working with lawyers in cases of Employment Tribunal claims,

• TUPE and redundancy consultations,

• Recruitment and selection, induction and training,

• Supporting managers through formal processes and being the HR representative on formal panels,

• Liaising and consultations with Unions,

• Leading the Investors in People process to gain the standard at Developed Level,

• Developing and leading the Wellbeing team,

• Working to Safeguarding requirements, including running DBS checks, safer recruitment processes, organising appropriate training and support for staff working with vulnerable adults and young people and creating policies, procedures and processes related to this work,

• Devising and running staff surveys, working with specialist survey writers and also through SurveyMonkey,

• Working with liquidators to close a business.

Julie is very used to working with restricted budgets and to short deadlines. When working in National Museums, she worked with world experts who also manage staff and have admin to complete which is not always their favourite part of their role.

Julie is a member of the Work Well Hub (Dorset based) which provides Business owners & Managers advice and support when creating and developing Health & Wellbeing strategies. As a member she has attended Mindful employer’s Mental health awareness training for Managers as well as holding a Mental Health first aider qualification with the MHFA (England).

Julie is a chartered Fellow of the Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD) having gained her Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management at Thames Valley University.

Julie is based in Poole, Dorset and set up to work remotely. Julie is able to travel up to 25 miles for meetings and short engagements as clients require.

Julie is married with two boys at university and a husband who works in IT. She enjoys reading, cooking, 80s music and live concerts, theatre and being a member of the Poole Rock Choir.
